Burn Notice Season Two Preview

As some of you already know we at the Couch Potato recently received a press kit for the second season of Burn Notice. It contained the first two episodes of the first season along with a lot of press material. In this post I will review what we received and give you a preview of what you can expect from the second season.

So all you Burn Notice fans probably want some spoilers of what you can expect out of Burn Notice this season? Last season the show ended with Michael driving into the back of that semi truck on the bridge. So what happened? Well I can’t reveal much (or I will get in a lot of trouble and I know you don’t want that to happen). I can tell you that the season premiere begins a couple hours after the point where season one ended. Michael ends up having to work for the people that burned him and he gets a new handler, Carla (Tricia Helfer for Battlestar Galactica). So you might be thinking that Fiona and Sam are gone for good? Sam and Fiona return and are the same as usual. Michael’s mother also returns even though I think the show might have been better off if they demoted her to a recurring character. This season Michael has a new employer but he still has the opportunity to help the little guy and find out more about the people that burned him. Overall based on the first two episodes, the second season is a lot like the first and fans of the first season should be happy with them. Continue Reading »

“Criminal Minds” Spinoff Coming Soon?

Michael Ausiello (now on EW.com) is reporting that “substantive” discussions are currently underway to expand the “Criminal Minds” franchise. Executive producer Ed Bernero told Ausiello that there were talks early in the show’s run but something always got in the way (the departure of Mandy Patinkin and the strike). Producers are “looking at all of the things the FBI does and how we can work that into the Criminal Minds world.” The spinoff would likely be introduced during an episode of the original series and none of the current cast members are expected to switch shows.
