Why is this 3-part musical internet series so special, you might ask. Well, only because a genius like Joss Whedon is behind the series. Along with his brothers and other family members, Whedon wrote the web series while the strike was going on. As for the cast, the hilarious Neil Patrick Harris stars as Dr. Horrible, the awesome Nathan Fillion plays Captain Hammer, and “Buffy” slayerette Felicia Day plays Penny. According to Whedon, the show is the story of a “low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.”
