Joe Lorenzo (Continued from last week):
- His progress from last week.
- Q6: “As you look straight ahead at the Apple, Inc. logo, from where has someone taken a bite? A. The right side, B. The left side, C. The top” He goes with A and is correct. 14 mob members are eliminated and Joe hits the $50,000 level.
- Q7: “At the farmer’s market, the farmer’s daughter offers you a nice pear. What is she selling you? A. A McIntosh, B. A Valencia, C. A Bartlett” He knows it is C and is correct. He only knocks out two players.
- Q8: “The 1990 holiday album “Because It’s Christmas” was recorded by what singer - who’s actually Jewish? A. Lance Bass, B. Bruce Springsteen, C. Barry Manilow” By process of elimination, he picks C. He’s correct and knocks out 8 more people. He also reaches the $75,000 level.
- Q9: “Which is not a flavor of Kellogg’s pop tarts? A. Frosted strawberry milkshake, B. Frosted banana cream pie, C. Frosted caramel chocolate” He decides to trust the mob. The majority picked B so he is locked into that answer. He’s right and knocks out 14 people. He’s up to the $100,000 level as well.
- Q10: “Geographically speaking, what is a correct alternate title for “Pirates of the Caribbean”? A. Pirates of the Eastern Hemisphere, B. Pirates of the Northern Hemisphere, C. Pirates of the Southern Hemisphere” He polls the mob on answer C. Only 5 of 22 picked that answer. He knew it was northern or southern hemisphere so he goes with B. He knocks out 7 people and hits the $250,000 level.
- Q11: “The 13th amendment, which abolished slavery, was finally ratified by which state in 1995? A. Mississippi, B. Missouri, C. Kentucky” He asks the mob. #63 picked A while the other mob member chose C. Joe goes with C but is incorrect. The answer is A. 10 mob members split $250,000 ($25,000 a piece).
Sara Green:
- Q1: “Seth Rogen accidentally gets Katherine Heigl pregnant in what 2007 movie? A. Knocked Up, B. Nine Months, C. Balls of Fury” She knows it is A and locks in with that answer. She’s correct but only two mob members got the question wrong.
- Q2: “On “Little House on the Prairie” Laura’s pa gave her a nickname. What was it? A. Half-Pint, B. Milliliter, C. 40-Ouncer” She knows “for a fact” that it is A. She’s right but knocks out just two players.
- Q3: “In ancient Chinese philosophy, what force opposes and complements the yang? A. The yin, B. The yen, C. The ying” She goes with A and is correct. 49 mob members got the question wrong and she jumps all the way up to the $50,000 level.
- Q4: “On the logo for Domino’s Pizza, how many total dots appear on the domino? A. 3, B. 7, C. 12″ She polls the mob on answer A. 27/47 mob members chose it. She goes with A and is correct. 20 people were incorrect so she jumps two more levels to $100,000.
