1 vs. 100 S2.E1 (January 4, 2008)

Tonight, it’s the battle of the sexes where one guy will take on one hundred women and one woman will try to knock out 100 men.

Katherine Cazorla vs. 100 Men:

  • Q1: “”Yeah!” and “Burn” are songs by what Grammy-winning R&B singer? A. Groom, B. Best Man, C. Usher.” She quickly answers Usher and is correct. 5 men were eliminated.
  • Q2: “By definition, what would a hemophobic refuse to suck? A. Lollipops, B. Blood, C. Helium.” She answers B. Blood and is correct again. Only one person got the question wrong.
  • Q3: “On “The Brady Bunch” episode titled “The Subject Was Noses,” who gets smacked in the nose with a football? A. Cindy, B. Jan, C. Marcia” She correctly answers C, 17 people were eliminated so she now has $5,000.
  • Q4: “Sy Sperling founded what famous club? A. All England Tennis Club, B. Studio 54, C. Hair Club for Men” She thinks it may be C but isn’t sure so she polls the mob. 44/70 people picked C. She locks in with C and is correct. 26 people got the question wrong so she makes it to the $50,000 level.
  • Q5: “A prime number is in the title of which movie? A. Scary Movie 4, B. Ocean’s 11, C. Police Academy 6: City Under Siege” She asks the mob. #34 picked B while #60 chose A. C is obviously eliminated. She goes with A and loses (the answer was B). Only five men got it wrong so 39 guys will split $50,000.

Jason Luda, who has never had a girlfriend, vs. 100 Women:

  • Q1: “In 2007, senator Larry Craig said his “wide stance” was the reason he was arrested where? A. A bedroom, B. A bathroom, C. A barn” He quickly locks in with “bathroom” and is correct. 6 women got the question incorrect.
  • Q2: “What small fish shares its name with the little boat that got shipwrecked on “Gilligan’s Island”? A. Guppy, B. Minnow, C. Scrod” He’s watched the show and knows that it is a minnow. He’s correct and six more women are knocked out.
  • Q3: “Which company is represented by a spokesgecko? A. Petco, B. Costco, C. Geico” He knows it is Geico and is correct again. Only one women was eliminated.
  • Q4: “In the Olympic games, which is an official weightlifting event? A. The clean and jerk, B. The grab & thrust, C. The rub & tug” He needs help and decides to ask the mob. #95 selected clean and jerk while the other player picked grab and thrust, C is eliminated. He has to use another help and polls the mob on answer B. 33/87 chose it so he locks in with A. 43 mob members were eliminated, getting him to the $50,000 level.
  • Q5: “The familiar border on the front cover of National Geographic magazine is what color? A. Red, B. Blue, C. Yellow” He’s confident it is yellow and locks in with it. He’s correct and eliminates two women.
  • Q6: “There’s always room for liquor! Which of these is currently a flavor of Jell-O brand gelatin? A. Margarita, B. Mojito, C. Martini” He goes with A and is correct. 18 more women are knocked out propelling Jason to the $100,000 level.
  • Q7: “What country’s national anthem has its own name in the title? A. The United States, B. Canada, C. The United Kingdom” He’s fairly certain it is Canada and chooses that answer. He’s correct but just one woman was incorrect.
  • Q8: “In the 2008 election which celebrity is eligible to be elected president of the United States? A. Liam Neeson, B. Arnold Schwarzenegger, C. Viggo Mortensen” He goes with C and is correct again. Eight women are eliminated so Jason is now up to the $250,000 level.
  • Q9: “According to Hallmark, what is the biggest card-giving holiday of the year? A. Christmas, B. Mother’s Day, C. Valentine’s Day” He picks A. Bob reveals that everybody in the mob got the question wrong so if Jason is correct, he wins $1,000,000. It is A so he wins the million.
